Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya

I finally got a chance to see the 3 hour animated feature that follows right after season 2 of the Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.  Adapted from the light novel with the same name, Kyoto Animation did a stunning job with the animation as always.  Without giving away too much, the story focuses mostly on Kyon and Yuki.  Even Mikuru has more screen time than Haruhi does.  With a great story and great animation, you’ll forget this is a 163 minutes long.  All major characters show up in the story including a few unexpected ones 😉

This will definitely be a pick up for blu-ray/DVD when it releases later this year as well as the Nendoroids and Figma figures scheduled for November/December release.

Time travel, espers, aliens, and Moe’. What more can you ask for? Definitely can’t wait for more Haruhi on screen adaptations.
